#9 Faden Quartz

It forms in a crevice between two existing rock formations starting life as a tiny Quartz deposit type vein connecting to both rocks. As these rocks begin to separate over time, slowly stretching, the Quartz continues to crystallize resulting in a “string” like effect as seen in high-quality pieces. Another layer of Quartz then grows over this initial “Quartz string” and crystalizes.
